That being said, the focus here needs to be to present not just to the Senate as the jury but to the American people as a whole, all of the available evidence and that evidence comes through not just the videos and the audio, and the tweets and news reports. It needs to come from love witnesses,” said Bonifaz. Free Speech For People and a coalition of public interest organizations recently issued a letter to Senate President Pro Tempore Patrick Leahy, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and Representative Jamie Raskin, the House’s lead impeachment manager, as well as the House’s other eight impeachment managers, calling for live witness testimony in President Trump’s second Senate impeachment trial.
