Posted on May 10, 2022 (May 10, 2022) Challenging Corruption Share: In a new Free Speech For People and Our Revolution video about our ongoing 14point3 campaign, Georgia voter Mike Rasbury discusses why he joined our legal action challenging Marjorie Taylor Greene’s eligibility for re-election under Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment. “Representative Greene, she’s my Congresswoman and we expect answers. Ultimately Trump is the main insurrectionist. He led the charge, Marjorie Taylor Greene was one of his cheerleaders,” says Rasbury. Rasbury, who is a veteran of the Vietnam War, is one of the voter challengers against Rep. Greene for her participation in the January 6th insurrection at the US Capitol. Free Speech For People, along with New York-based Emery Celli Brinckerhoff Abady Ward & Maazel LLP and Atlanta-based election lawyer Bryan Sells, represent a group of Georgia voters, including Rasbury, in the case against Rep. Greene. We filed the challenge on March 24, 2022. “The top folks that put this insurrection together aren’t going to walk away free. We’re a democracy and we can’t let that happen or we will lose it,” says Rasbury. Following a highly publicized live hearing, a Georgia administrative law judge recently ruled in favor of Rep. Greene’s decision to run for re-election. Free Speech For People will be appealing that decision to the Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia. Watch the full video here.
