On May 10th, 2025, constitutional attorney and FSFP President John Bonifaz delivered a rousing keynote address at the 16th annual Wisconsin Grassroots Festival in which he elucidated the constitutional necessity for Congress to invoke the Impeachment clause against President Trump.

You can watch his full remarks below.

The Constitution’s Framers, Bonifaz explained, established the Impeachment clause–Section 4 of Article II–with the vision of a Trump-like presidency squarely in mind. Such a critical extra guardrail exists, he said, “to deal with that President who would so trample on the Constitution, trample on the rule of law, [and] engage in high crimes.”

Free Speech For People has launched the Impeach Trump Again campaign to address the multiple abuses of power Donald Trump has committed since assuming the office of the presidency again.

In the four months since launching the campaign, more than 500,000 people nationwide have joined the campaign, and the list of Trump’s impeachable offenses continues to grow. As of today, these include:

  • Illegal kidnapping, detention, and removal of U.S. residents;
  • Illegal and unconstitutional removal of U.S. residents, migrants, and asylum-seekers to foreign prisons;
  • Unlawfully attempting to deport immigrants for peacefully protesting;
  • Unconstitutionally usurping Congress’s powers;
  • Defying court orders and unconstitutionally usurping judicial authority;
  • Abusing his power to seek retribution against perceived adversaries;
  • Co-opting and dismantling independent government oversight;
  • Unlawfully imposing tariffs; receiving foreign and domestic emoluments;
  • Unconstitutionally usurping local and state authority;
  • Abusing the emergency power;
  • Abusing the pardon power;
  • Corruptly dismissing criminal charges against Eric Adams;
  • Depriving citizens of their birthright;
  • Blocking efforts to secure U.S. elections;
  • Planning the forced removal of Palestinians from Gaza;
  • Engaging in unlawful, corrupt practices during the 2024 presidential campaign
