The following is a statement from Susan Greenhalgh, Senior Advisor on Election Security at Free Speech For People:

The New York Times story “Trump Allies Revive Debunked Voting Machine Theories” glossed over the most chilling and consequential factors imbedded in the reporting – specifically many of the lawsuits filed by Trump allies are using voting system software that was taken unlawfully in a coordinated, multistate scheme that began after his 2020 loss. Further, the report indicates that the push to use illicitly obtained voting software in a legal challenge in Georgia came from high up in “Trump’s inner circle,” suggesting that Trump’s closest aides are directly involved in strategies to use software taken in voting system breaches to undermine the upcoming election. This is consistent with testimony provided to the January 6th Committee suggesting that extreme election deniers like Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani, who are involved in the coordinated scheme to take voting software, discussed the plans to unlawfully take voting system software with Trump.

There is an abundance of evidence showing that Trump allies coordinated to take voting system software unlawfully in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia and Colorado, and share it with a network of election deniers in the months and years following the 2020 election. This plot has raised concerns that the illicitly obtained software would be used to undermine future elections.

We now know how. Trump’s allies have been filing lawsuits to challenge election systems using analyses by Trump allied technicians that examined the proprietary election software over the past three years. The NYT failed to note that the Trump’s allies are using unlawfully obtained voting software to back their claims, and that it appears the plans to use the unlawfully obtained software originated at the highest levels of the Trump camp. These are critical and important factors that have been overlooked.
