Free Speech For People Board Chair Ben Clements recently appeared on Rising Up With Sonali to discuss the historic vote to impeach Donald J. Trump. The House passed two articles on Wednesday: abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, making Trump the third U.S president to be impeached.

“This is something that the leadership among the House Democrats did not want. They wanted to avoid impeachment proceedings…and I think what happened with this Ukraine extortion, [it] brought the violations to such another level and the evidence was so blatant…They had no choice but to proceed with impeachment,” said Clements.
