Free Speech For People has drafted two new articles of impeachment that any Member of the United States House of Representatives may immediately introduce.

Article I addresses President Trump’s inciting an angry mob which then marched toward Capitol Hill and engaged in a violent attack on the United States Capitol, taking over the House and Senate chambers and forcing emergency evacuation or sheltering of the United States Congress, all in an effort to stop certification of the electoral votes from the 2020 election.

Article II addresses President Trump’s earlier phone call with Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, in which President Trump pressured Raffensperger to “find 11,780 votes” to overturn Georgia’s presidential election result.

As we wrote in the Boston Globe just yesterday, Congress must impeach and convict President Trump, and disqualify him from any future federal office. In that essay, we wrote that “The House may not be eager to impeach Trump again, and we entertain no illusions about the Senate convicting him before Jan. 20.” That has changed. We now urge the House to impeach Trump immediately and for the Senate to begin its proceedings within one hour after the House vote. We further urge Vice President Pence to initiate proceedings under section 4 of the 25th Amendment to temporarily remove Trump from power while impeachment proceeds.

We stand ready to assist any Member of Congress who wishes to introduce these articles of impeachment.
