Free Speech For People congratulates the West Virginia House of Delegates, and our friends at Public Citizen, along with allies in West Virginia, on a huge victory this morning. The House approved House Resolution 9, calling for a U.S. constitutional amendemnt to overturn the Citizens United case.

West Virginia Delegates voted 60-39 in favor of the resolution, with seven Republicans joining Democrats in approving it. Those seven Delegates are: George Ambler, Ray Canterbury, John Ellem, Bill Hamilton, Carol Miller, Kelli Sobonya, and Steve Westfall.

It’s a terrific day for our democracy.
