Ron Fein, Free Speech For People Legal Director, and Jed Shugerman, Professor of Law at Fordham University School of Law, penned an op-ed in the New York Daily News on why it’s “Time To Dissolve The Trump Organization.

As Fein and Shugerman explain, “The Trump Organization is the nerve center for a network of about 500 distinct but affiliated Trump companies that have been created to own or operate specific business projects.”

While Trump continues to profit from his presidency at public expense, a key federal prosecutor in Manhattan, U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara, was fired from his post. It’s unknown if Bharara was investigating Trump or the Trump Organization, but he was “prosecuting an Iranian businessman who ran a sanctions-evasion scheme out of Trump Towers Istanbul.” And as the op-ed points out, “early last week new revelations emerged implicating the Trump Organization in potential Iran sanctions violations from a failed project in Azerbaijan.”

“With Bharara out, the federal Department of Justice faces difficult conflicts in investigating the President and his businesses. But Attorney General Schneiderman doesn’t have those conflicts — he doesn’t work for the President.”

The time to dissolve the Trump Organization, Inc. is now.

New York Attorney General Schneiderman can take the first step. We’ve outlined how in our Campaign to Revoke the Corporate Charter of Trump Organization, Inc. in New York State.
