As citizen demands for impeachment grow, Rep. Al Green announces that he will introduce articles of impeachment against President Trump.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 6, 2025) – Impeach Trump Again, a nonpartisan campaign led by Free Speech For People, announced today that they have collected over 200,000 petition signatures in support of an impeachment investigation of President Donald Trump. The announcement comes on the heels of Rep. Al Green’s House floor speech that he would bring articles of impeachment against the president for “dastardly deeds proposed and dastardly deeds done.”   

“We applaud Congressman Al Green for demanding that the US Congress hold Donald Trump accountable through the impeachment process for his dangerous abuse of power threatening the displacement of Palestinians and occupation of Gaza,” says Courtney Hostetler, Free Speech For People’s Legal Director. “Members of Congress have a sworn duty to protect the Constitution in the face of this impeachable offense and the multiple other impeachable offenses Trump has already committed. Launched on Inauguration Day, the campaign has already garnered over 200,000 petition signatures supporting the impeachment investigation of offenses Donald Trump has already committed. These offenses include: violating the Emoluments Clauses from his first day in office by refusing to sell his ownership stake in companies receiving substantial payments from foreign governments; engaging in unlawful and corrupt conduct during the 2024 election campaign; abusing the pardon power; unconstitutionally stripping U.S. citizens of citizenship; dismantling independent government oversight; unlawfully firing Inspector Generals; unlawfully firing members of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the National Labor Relations Board; abusing his power to seek retributions against perceived adversaries; abusing emergency powers; unconstitutionally usurping local and state authority, and unconstitutionally usurping legislative powers; unlawfully and corruptly empowering and enriching Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE); and threatening the displacement of Palestinians and occupation of Gaza.
