Tomorrow, Thursday, March 30th, there will be a public hearing for bill HCR 34 before the Select Committee on House State and Federal Power and Responsibility in the Texas Legislature. The bill, sponsored by Representative Rafael Anchia, urges Congress to propose and submit to the states for ratification an 28th amendment to the U.S. Constitution, overturning the Supreme Court’s Citizens United ruling.

Across the state, Texans are making their voices heard to demand that Texas is the next state on record calling on Congress for a 28th Amendment to get big money out of our politics and to restore democracy to the people. Together, we will reclaim our democracy for “we the people”.
