FSFP President John Bonifaz recently appeared on Rising Up With Sonali to discuss the impeachment of Donald Trump for his incitement of insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

“It’s critical that this President be impeached again and that he be removed from office immediately. He is a direct and serious threat to our democracy. He’s a national security threat. He has incited an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol — violent seditious attack on the U.S. Capitol — to overthrow Constitutional government, to sabotage the election of November and to keep himself in power anti-democratically” said Bonifaz.

Free Speech For People recently drafted two new articles of impeachment addressing Trump’s incitement of insurrection as well as his earlier phone call with Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger where Trump pressed him to “find 11,780 votes” and overturn the election result. The organization also joined more than 70 groups in a letter calling for the possible expulsion of U.S. House members who acted to overturn the 2020 election result and helped foment the ensuing insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

“We fully support Congresswoman Cori Bush’s resolution to expel those members of the House who participated in this, who voted to overturn the election results, and those Senators, led by Senators Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz. They too should face expulsion,” said Bonifaz.
